Pretty Krumbs

Yay! Pretty Krumbs is here!
I am so excited to introduce you my favorite cookies in the whole Universe,
courtesy of Pretty Krumbs, a sweet local business from Doha, Quatar,
that not only brings light into our lives with their incredibly cute, adorable to die for cookies,
but they also help us bring up the inner child in us with all kind of childhood related collections
like "Hello Kitty", "Mickey Mouse" or "Barney".
And if we fail at becoming kids again, Pretty Krumbs takes care of the adult in us too
through their "You Should Quit" or "Sweet Statements" cookies.

They are some pretty addictive Pretty Krumbs, I'll tell you!

Here's a delicious recipe for "Sugar Cookies",
coming straight from Pretty Krumbs' lovely, welcoming kitchen.

1 cup butter softened
1 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
3 cups all purpose flour
1 egg (room temp)
2 tsp clear flavoring (vanilla, almond, lemon..)
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

Mix butter with sugar until fluffy.
Add egg + flavoring.
Sift together the flour with baking powder and salt and add it gradually to the mix until dough doesn't stick to the fingers.
Divide the dough in 2, wrap it in foil and put it in the fridge for 15 min, then roll it and cut the cookies out using different shapes of cutters.
Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper and bake cookies at 375 F for 7-8 min.

When the cookies are cooled cover them with royal icing.

Ingredients Royal Icing:
3 egg whites (room temp) or 3 Tablespoons of meringue powder
1/2 T corn syrup
few drops of clear flavoring
500 g sifted icing sugar.

Beat egg whites for 20 sec then add the sugar. Mix until well incorporated, then add the corn syrup and the flavoring. Mix at med-high for 5 min, until stiff peaks.

Color the icing and decorate the cookies. That's when the fun begins! :)

Aren't they awesome?!
Now the trouble is, how can we eat them,
being as cute as they are?
